Voting in Afghanistan

"Here is one fellow who had just voted – he made darn sure we knew it too. Kind of humbling to see – we are lucky enough to get people at home to wear a tiny, 'I voted' sticker to show they gave a damn. These guys walked to the polls, under threats from Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda and are proud of it."

To those who have never had the right to vote, voting is very important, indeed. We in the US are spoiled.
