A black man posing as a white supremist on the internet entered a guilty plea for communicating threats against black students after the election of Barack Obama.
I think a certain class of people have had racism as an excuse to fall back on for so long, they'll take any steps necessary to make sure it continues. Even if they have to make it up.
Sure, there are white racists in the country, but nowhere enough to keep a groundswell of sympathy ginned up for minorities. And without that groundswell, they might have to get by on their own merits.
