Over at Strange Maps is a map that makes the demarcation based on where sweetened iced tea becomes available. 300 McDonald's restaurants were surveyed, and a line of best fit was drawn between north (unsweetened) and south (sweetened) iced tea availability.
I wonder what other menu changes might be useful. I notice that in South Central Los Angeles, I start seeing Mc Donald's menus announcing "hotcakes available all day", and packets of jelly handed out with the Mc Muffin / Mc Biscuit breakfasts.
